A biotechnologist turned information professional, I am an ICSSR Doctoral Fellow in Information Science at University of Delhi, India.
About Me
I am a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in Information Science at University of Delhi, India. My research focuses on information retrieval, digital libraries, social informatics, and scholarly communication using text mining, natural language processing, and machine learning techniques. I have worked extensively with textual data. My work combines qualitative and quantitative methods, including focus groups, survey and field experiments, and computational approaches.
In addition to publishing scholarly articles, I have authored a book on Text Mining for Information Professionals. As the Chair of Professional Development Sub-Committee and Elected Standing Committee Member at IFLA Science and Technology Libraries Section, I am actively organizing webinars to equip information professionals new computational and digital skills. Moreover, I am serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Library and Information Services (IJLIS), Newsletter Officer & Webmaster at ASIS&T South Asia Chapter, Secretary/Treasurer at ASIS&T SIG-OIM, and Cabinet Representative at ASIS&T SIG-DL.

Gender Research in Political Science Journals: A Dataset

Abstract Research on gender and politics is becoming increasingly mainstreamed within political science. To document this process, we introduce a comprehensive dataset of articles published in 37 political science journals through 2019 that can be considered “gender and politics” research. While a recent related literature has explored the descriptive representation of women in political science by examining authorship and citation patterns, we argue that the identification of publications substantively focused on gender and politics not only illuminates trends but can contribute to broader conversations about substantive representation and methodological diversity in the discipline.
